Are you interested in buying a home, but you might not have the money for the
down payment or for closing costs? NHS is pleased to announce our closing cost or
down payment assistance program. We will be able to assist homeowners with grants
or low interest rate loans or a combination of both for down payment or closing
cost assistance. These grants and/or loans are made available through a partnership
with the cities of Hamilton and Middletown using HOME funds.
When it comes to home buying and owning, nothing is better than hands-on experience.
That?s why NHS offers specialized educational programs designed to help you purchase
and keep your real estate investment safe and sound. Since your home is your most
precious asset, you can keep it that way by participating in our educational programs.
Homeownership Builds Confidence
Homeownership also greatly influences families? social and psychological lives.
In our society, buying a home is a symbol of success ? a sign of having ?made it?
into the mainstream of American life. This sense is reinforced quickly by the actual
security and independence ownership represents. Unlike apartment prices that rise
with inflation each year, owning makes housing costs predictable. Families have
a defined space for which they are responsible and that they can control. While
capricious landlords or speculative real estate developers may evict renters, owners
rarely have such fears. One-reason owners may be happier are that they believe they
live in a better environment than renters do.
Homeownership not only supplies families with shelter; it also provides a way to
build community development and economic wealth.
